Tasha Breaux serves as a Program Manager for Dr. Pollack and her team in the Coastal Conservation & Restoration lab. She earned a B.S. in Wildlife Ecology and Conservation from the University of Florida (2009), then worked as a Fisheries Biologist for Louisiana’s Department of Wildlife and Fisheries before pursuing her M.S. in Marine Biology from Texas A&M University-Corpus Christi (2017).

In her capacity as Project Manager, Tasha oversees research initiatives dedicated to coastal conservation and restoration. Beyond her managerial responsibilities, she maintains a keen interest in research, with a particular focus on the restoration and ecology of biogenic habitats such as oyster and serpulid worm reefs. Tasha is especially interested in the trophic dynamics of these habitats and understanding their ecological contributions to estuarine systems.

During her time off, Tasha enjoys exploring with her young son, aspiring to instill in him an appreciation for nature and the wonders of discovery.
