Morgan is a research technician working with the HRI Coral Reef and Ocean Health Lab. Her undergraduate work focused on applying histopathological and light microscopy techniques to study disease and reproduction in corals for multiple federal, state, and privately funded research projects. She also had the opportunity to conduct an independent study of the effects of stony coral tissue loss disease on reproduction in the coral Montastraea cavernosa. She was awarded the Distinguished Undergraduate Research Award for her work.
For fun, Morgan enjoys snorkeling, paddle boarding, watching baseball, and SCUBA diving.
